Darn Phones!
So I tried to leave at 9a to get the most of the day, but my brother called and we spent over two hours on the phone. By the time I was ready to go, it was clear it was going to be way too hot for an extensive drive, and I just went up Old La Honda, disappointing myself with a lame 21:35.
Up on top I chatted with a guy that had carried on behind me, and who would then go ahead down to 84. He was very knowledgable about all the pros that infest that stretch of hills, and he gave me a few hints as to how to approach the climb. Next time, who knows, I’ll make it.
Now I am back to working on my training log, after Dave Bailey published (THANKS!) a new version of his Perl interface for the Polar computer. Not that the Perl interface has anything to do with it. Soon you’ll see my training logs on the corresponding page (link on the left).
